Named for the Maas River in The Netherlands, the ms Maasdam is the fifth ship in Holland America Line's 135-year history to bear the distinguished name. At 720-feet, the ms Maasdam is designed to carry fewer guests while providing more space for maximum comfort. Many outside staterooms feature commanding ocean views.

Featuring an interior motif paying homage to the 17th to 19th century Dutch East & West India companies, the centerpiece of this elegant ship features Luciano Vistosi's "Totem." This monumental sculpture uses nearly 2,000 glimmering pieces of glass, prominently displayed in a soaring three-story atrium. Other intriguing art featured on the ms Maasdam are two abstract murals painted especially for the Rotterdam Dining Room, a collection of seven iron teapots, & an ancient charcoal brazier from Japan. Don¡¦t miss this wonderful cruise with your friends or family. Don¡¦t delay. NEW ENGLAND & CANADA ITINERARY ON OUR DUTCH SHIP ms MAASDAM

June 13 - Boston There is no better way to get a sense of the Revolutionary struggle that changed our nation's destiny than with a stroll along Boston's Freedom Trail. Along the way are Paul Revere House, Old North Church, the Old State House & Faneuil Hall, gathering place of the early revolutionaries. Ask Susan De Pasquale, our Boston expert ļ, for the best pre-cruise sightseeing tips in her old stomping grounds. Sample optional shore excursions: Freedom Trail Walking Tour; Lexington & Concord with Harvard Yard; Historic Salem & Seafaring Marblehead. (D)

June 14 - Bar Harbor, Maine Once the exclusive summer resort of America's fabulously wealthy, today Bar Harbor is an artists' enclave & gateway to the natural beauty of Acadia National Park, a donation of the Rockefeller family. Watch for white-tail deer & other wildlife. Enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride through the park. Attend an authentic "Downeast" lobster bake. Sample optional shore excursions: Acadia National Park & Carriage Ride; Coastal Sea Kayaking; The Ultimate Island Experience - A Private Luncheon at Frenchman's Bay. (B, L, D)

June 15 – Halifax, Nova Scotia For ocean scenery at its best, nothing rivals Nova Scotia's south shore. (B, L, D)

June 19 – Québec City Welcome to Québec! With its tree-lined "Champs-Elysées," buttery croissants, the lilt of French, a grand château on the river, Québec City is a bastion of French culture in North America that impassioned Québécois hold dear to their hearts.
